Procera Networks Wins by Addressing Specific Needs of Cable MSOs

Top-tier cable operators worldwide agree that accuracy and future-proof capacity are “must-have” components to optimize and monetize their networks.

Procera Networks, a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, today announced that its PacketLogic PL10000 has been chosen by cable MSOs worldwide. The PL10000, announced in May, is addressing the specific needs of cable operators to secure customer satisfaction and enable personalized broadband services.

A top-tier North American cable MSO is deploying Procera’s PL10000 series in the US market, and Procera’s recent wins in Eastern and Southern Europe add to its established customer base of European cable operators.

“As multiple users share bandwidth resources on cable networks, these operators have specific needs that we address with the dynamic nature of our PL10000 product,” said Jon Lindén, Procera’s vice president of global marketing. “Procera is uniquely qualified to meet these needs thanks to our Evolved DPI technology, which goes far beyond P2P control by providing intelligence and tools that enable powerful broadband services while preserving a healthy business case by maximizing the utilization of the operator’s network infrastructure investments.”

The FCC’s recent scrutiny of Comcast’s use of DPI highlights the circumstances that have made this technology necessary for cable MSOs. Procera, as the technology leader in the DPI space, incorporated application-agnostic classification of network traffic long time ago to manage a changing network environment and to satisfy a customer demand.

“Customer-driven development in combination with in-house technology innovation has ensured Procera is aligned with, and even one step ahead of, market demands,” Lindén added. “While releasing PL10000 that addresses the high-end service provider segment, we’ve been going through a transformation as a company where we’re now involved with—and are winning—substantial deals in the cable segment.”

AiDi Corporation Promotes “One-Stop Factory” at FTTH 2008

Emeryville, CA, September 17, 2008 – AiDi Corporation invites visitors to their booth at the 2008 FTTH Conference & Expo, to be held in Nashville, Tennessee, from September 22 – 24, 2008. AiDi Corporation will be promoting their “One-Stop Factory” solutions, including PLC splitter, MPO-LC fanout, CWDM MUX/DMUX, and DWDM MUX/DMUX component and module product lines.
