InnoPath’s MDM Client Deployed by Pantech across Multiple Tier-1 Operators

Earlier this week, InnoPath published a PR that speaks to its continued momentum in the client space. In the past few months, Pantech has deployed InnoPath’s OMA-DM client on handsets delivered to AT&T, KDDI and KTF. Previous InnoPath/Pantech customers also included Verizon Wireless. InnoPath’s momentum at Pantech across both GSM and CDMA operators is evidence of the flexibility of its client architecture as well as its in-country support capabilities. The availability of handsets with OMA-DM clients is required to jumpstart operator deployments, thereby setting the stage for MDM-delivered customer care.

To pull from the PR… Greater client availability facilitates Mobile Device Management (MDM) deployment, and MDM is one of the few technologies operators have at their disposal to drive costs out of their networks while maintaining customer satisfaction. This capability is even more top-of-mind in the current economic environment.

InnoPath - PantechLeading Pantech handsets featuring InnoPath device management include AT&T’s easy to use C520 ‘Breeze’, the C610, a compact flip-phone and the C740 ‘Matrix’, a dual slider qwerty texting phone. In Korea, KTF’s unique U300K ‘Neon-Sign’ and in Japan KDDI’s compact slider W61PT and the simple, stylish W62PT also ship with InnoPath device management clients on board.

Pantech has a strong history of mobile phone innovation, having introduced the world’s first CDMA mobile phone in 1994. The company is now a leader in both CDMA and GSM devices, spanning both featurephones as well as Windows Mobile smartphones. The company supplies mobile phones to operators in North America, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

Proven Channel Leader Sheila Kuri Named to Direct and Grow Channel Programs of Company Delivering Leading Enterprise Mobility Solution Increasing Mobile Worker Productivity

SANTA CLARA, Calif. Oct. 30, 2008 Agito Networks, Inc., the award-winning company delivering new technology in enterprise mobility, today announced that it has named Sheila Kuri as its director of the North American Channel.

While Agito Networks has been successfully selling through a growing channel partner program since day one, the addition of this proven channel leader to our team fuels our continued channel activities and growth, meeting the growing demand for Agito’s enterprise mobility solution, said Jeff Dolce, Agito Networks VP of Sales. Sheila has a strong proven track record in growing successful channel programs, including in the wireless industry, and we will rely on her knowledge and proven methods as we continue to expand our reach to help enterprises address their mobility challenges and best equip their growing mobile workforces.

Available via the channel, Agito Networks award-winning RoamAnywhere Mobility Router uniquely fuses Wi-Fi, cellular, IP telephony, and location information, improving the accessibility and responsiveness of mobile workers, while drastically reducing mobile costs

RoamAnywhere uses the industry’s most complete set of proactive, location- and policy-based metrics, in addition to reactive metrics, to deliver fast and automatic, sub-100ms handover of mobile voice between WLAN and cellular networks. Purpose-built for the enterprise, RoamAnywhere uniquely offers high availability, redundancy, security, enterprise scalability, and the industry’s broadest mobile handset and IP-PBX support. It works with all cellular network technology, and natively integrates with enterprises’ existing equipment, including WLAN infrastructure and directory stores.

Ms. Kuri brings more than 15 years of successful channel and sales experience to Agito Networks. Most recently, she served as the Director of North American Distribution Channels for Proxim Wireless, successfully recruiting and restructuring Proxim’s extensive channel partners. Previously, she held the Director of Western Region Channels position for Verilink Corporation, implementing a number of systematic analysis and incentive programs to grow Verilink’s channel. Before that, Ms. Kuri served as the Director of Channel Sales for Madge Networks, helping drive step function revenue growth from $9M to $20M in two years. She has also held previous positions at Standard MicroSystems Corporation and Emulex Corporation.

Agito Networks sells its RoamAnywhere Mobility Router through a growing Channel Partner Program. Agito’s partners, which specialize in wireless, VoIP and Unified Communications, benefit from its channel program with revenue opportunities, high-margin incentives, technical assistance, training, and marketing support. Agito enables partners to extend their bill of materials to increase revenues and differentiate their offerings based on business value, allowing them to further penetrate their largest current accounts, while seeking new accounts. RoamAnywhere also allows partners to offer value add, high-margin professional services; product support contracts; and consulting hours, further increasing revenues. In addition to supporting more handsets and IP-PBXs than competing products, RoamAnywhere offers enterprise-class functionality that is unmatched in the industry, and is attractive to channel partners. With RoamAnywhere, channel customers have a stateful high-availability architecture offering, which ensures high-performance, business-class resiliency/availability for customers’ mobile voice. RoamAnywhere supports identity-based mobility with native integration with Active Directory and LDAP directory/policy information. The solution scales to thousands of users in one appliance, the most in the industry.
