TM Forum Membership Up 25% As Comms Industry Seeks Guidance in Tough Times

TM Forum takes pole position to help industry tackle recession


MORRISTOWN, NJ, May 5, 2009 – TM Forum, the world’s premier industry group focused on business effectiveness for the communications and media sectors, today announced results for the financial year ending March 31, 2009. For the fifth consecutive year, the international not-for-profit organization has achieved revenue and membership growth of more than 25%. The results show an organization well placed to weather the current global recession, and reinforce the Forum’s leading position in helping its global membership tackle the effects of the economic crisis.

NEW YORK, NY and East Lansing, MI May 4, 2009: Atlantic Metro Communications, a recognized SAS 70 managed network and service provider offering dark fiber and nation-wide colocation and IP transit, together with Waypoint Telecommunications, a regional facilities-based carrier in the Mid-West, announce a partnership that will leverage each company’s complimentary network services to expand their network reach within the Mid-West region. Atlantic Metro customers will have the ability to access Waypoint’s network footprint that spans five states in the Mid-West, connecting key business centers, including Grand Rapids, MI; Cleveland, OH; Indianapolis, Indiana; St. Louis, MO; and Chicago, IL. In addition, Waypoint will add a Point of Presence (PoP) within Atlantic Metro’s Chicago managed colocation facility, located at 350 East Cermak Road, which will also be an access point for Waypoint’s new metro fiber ring on Atlantic Metro’s Chicago metro fiber network.
