HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct 13, 2009 — ADTRAN, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADTN) reported results for the third quarter of 2009. Sales were $128,062,000 for the quarter, compared to $137,195,000 for the third quarter of 2008. Net income was $21,583,000 for the quarter, compared to $22,411,000 for the third quarter of 2008. Earnings per share, assuming dilution, were $0.34 for the quarter, compared to $0.35 for the third quarter of 2008. more
