SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., November 18, 2009 – Carriers are becoming a significant channel for all Internet-connected mobile devices, including netbooks and mobile PCs, because of the revenue potential of the associated services. Market research firm In-Stat (http://email.in-stat.com/cgi-bin4/DM/y/hBVaQ0JPFkY0K560DHgc0Ej) anticipates that the number of devices sold through the carriers will continue to increase as services are bundled for multiple devices and service prices decrease due to increased bandwidth from new communications technologies and increased competition between carriers. American Tower Corporation Agrees to Acquire 196 Towers from Cincinnati Bell Inc.

BOSTON & CINCINNATI –American Tower Corporation (NYSE: AMT - News) and Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE: CBB - News) announced today that American Tower has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 196 of Cincinnati Bell’s wireless communications towers for $100 million. The towers are located primarily in Ohio and Kentucky and currently average 2.1 tenants per tower. Cincinnati Bell will remain a tenant on all 196 towers pursuant to a long-term Master Lease Agreement.
