Fight over Nortel’s assets begins
Nortel’s creditors weren’t pleased with Nokia Siemens Networks’ $650 million offer for Nortel’s CDMA and LTE assets, and now they appear to be doing something about it. According to the Financial Times, BusinessWeek and several other publications, creditor MatlinPatterson Global Advisers is trying to spark interest among investors to recapitalize the vendor, raising the possibility that Nortel Networks just may emerge from the ashes of bankruptcy intact. more
