Showing that its mobile ambitions don’t end with the Kindle, online retailer Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) today announced the beta launch of AmazonWireless, its new Web site dedicated to cell phone and service plan browsing and shopping sans rebates and plus two-day free shipping. At launch, the site hosts more than 120 handsets from AT&T (NYSE:T) and Verizon Wireless (NYSE:VZ, NYSE:VOD), with plans to add Sprint (NYSE:S) and T-Mobile USA (NYSE:DT) phones during the beta test phase. more
